I use this product mostly on the ends of my hair, as they’re the most damaged. I’ve started adding this product in after hair washes, and I feel like it’s making a difference! The ends of my hair where I’ve applied the product look shinier and feel softer to me.
This product says you can apply it to damp hair (then blow dry it) or apply it to dry hair. I was a bit skeptical about applying it to dry hair since it’s a cream and I thought it’d make my hair gunky. But, I applied it to the ends of my dry hair, pulled my hair up for a while, and I was pleasantly surprised it completely absorbed and didn’t leave my hair feeling greasy at all.
This product has a distinctly grape scent (which was no shock to me considering it’s got grape vinegar, but it’s described as having a “sweet berry” scent — it’s just grape. It’s a bit strong when you’re first applying it, but fades to a tolerable level fairly quickly.

I have thick dry hair that frizzes in humidity, so I always am looking for that holy grail of haircare that will give me smooth, shiny hair. This product from Hip Chic is a leave-in conditioner, designed to be used on damp or dry hair. Its consistency is somewhere between a gel and a cream and it has a very sweet fragrance that made me think “bubble gum,” though that’s not what it smells like. I applied it to my towel-dried washed hair and blew it dry as usual.
The result was that my hair was soft with a light sheen. The ends of my hair still felt a bit rough and damaged so I applied some more to the dry ends, and it did make them softer. The strongly sweet fragrance that I found to be a bit off-putting while applying became a bit less noticeable a few hours later.
The Hip Chic conditioner definitely helps make my dry hair softer, but it’s not quite the holy grail I keep hoping to find.

I got this product for my daughter and she’s pretty happy with it. She mentioned that it has a really pleasant grape-like smell. She also said the leave-in treatment has reduced her hair frizziness and leaves her hair shiny and smooth, without making them greasy. It’s easy to apply and is absorbed quickly.
For a price of $11, it is a little expensive, but it’s a good product!
